Backpacking.
Humanpackmule.com began as a backpacking website and mostly centered on trips that I have done over the years. At some point the one dimensional nature of the site began to bore me. Not only that content was only posted when I went on a hike. Seeing that I wasn’t a compulsive backpacker who was out every single weekend like some of my friends, that was infrequent and the site fell into disrepair. The name humanpackmule was a term I coined to describe backpackers that eventually came to be my personal nickname and internet handle. So If you see someone posting as humanpackmule about the web, it’s probably me.

I then had the brilliant idea of expanding the site and making my personal site into a backpacking community. That would be nice but after watching all the drama on my personal web hangout Trail Talk I decided I had better things to do with my time than moderate a message board full of adult adolescents (who are otherwise pretty decent folks). So that idea withered on the vine.

So here we are HPM 3.0. This time around the focus is all that interests me personally and professionally.

User Experience, Usability, Human Factors, Backpacking, Hiking, Art, Design, Home Improvements, Koi, family, home built hot rods ect…..

We’ll see how this goes.
